Andrew George
Chairman Global Energy & Power - Marsh

Andrew is the Chairman of Marsh’s Global Energy & Power Practice and joined Marsh in 1988. In 2004 Andrew moved to Dubai and became leader of the Middle East and North Africa region for Marsh Energy. In 2008 he moved back to the UK to become CEO of Marsh Energy EMEA. In 2012 Andrew became Global Chairman of Marsh's Energy Practice.

 
Bruce Garrett
MD Energy Practice - Marsh (UK)

Bruce has been an insurance broker since 1973. His career involved working in France and Singapore, although since 1986 he has been based in London. Bruce has vast experience in all aspects of client-service across a broad spectrum of energy and power clients. Bruce is a Fellow of The Chartered Insurance Institute and an Honors graduate of Durham University in French Language and Literature.

 
Bruno Sousa

Bruno is part of Oliver Wyman’s Oil & Gas Practice, and Middle East office. Bruno Sausa has 13+ years’ experience with O&G, Petrochemicals in Europe and Middle East. His main area of expertise is focused on business strategy, organizational design and localization and has been involved in development of Financial Risk Management framework for a leading GCC NOC along-with the risk reporting and performance management framework for a leading GCC NOC. He holds an MBA INSEAD - Business administration degree and Masters with honors (Pre Bologna) from FEUNL.

 
Chris Sandford
Senior Director - Wurldtech Security Technologies, GE Digital (UAE)

Chris Sandford has been working in cyber security for over 20 years and with Wurldtech since early 2010, in that time he has worked with Power companies, Oil & Gas operators, critical manufacturing and health care facilities to develop strategies and solutions to secure the operational infrastructure, systems, data and people. He has conducted multiple ICS Risk Assessment across the globe and Project Directed the OT cyber program for a major US Utility. Chris has been part of the WIB Secure Architecture working group as well as a contributor to ISA-99 and IEC62443-2-4.

 
Ian Henderson
Global Leader Engineering, Energy & Power - Marsh (UAE)

Ian commenced his career in 1986 with Exxon Chemical as a Technical Services Engineer in a polymers manufacturing plant. He then transferred to the position of Business Analyst in corporate headquarters and subsequently appointed as Unit Supervisor. He then joined Marsh Ltd (formerly Sedgwick) as a Risk Engineer and has had responsibility for executing risk engineering programs. In 2008 Ian was appointed to lead Marsh’s MENA Energy Practice out of the Dubai hub. In 2015 he was promoted to lead Marsh’s Engineering team globally for the combined Energy & Power practice.

 
Koenraad Van Kerckhoven
Regional Employee Health & Benefits Leader - Marsh (UAE)

Koenraad is EH&B leader for Marsh in MENA and responsible for the enhancement of the value proposition of Marsh’s Employee Health and Benefits (EH&B) Practice in the region. Marsh EH&B aims at delivering solutions that enable employers to provide an optimal and sustainable benefits package in a cost- driven environment. He joined Marsh in May 2016 from Mercer where he headed up EH&B in the Benelux market and led the business development of Mercer in the Belgian market, as Country Head. Prior to joining Mercer in March 2009, Koenraad worked for 9 years with Fortis in different functions. Earlier, he worked in Spain in the agri-food business and as an employee benefit consultant with ING Insurance. Koenraad holds a 'Master in Law' from the University of Ghent and a post-graduate in Human Resources management from EHSAL (Brussels). He is fluent in Dutch (mother tongue), French, English and Spanish.

 
Ozge Gurgur
Practice Leader Enterprise Risk - Marsh Risk Consulting (UAE)

Ozge is Middle East and North Africa Leader for Enterprise Risk and Resilience Services for Marsh Risk Consulting with more than 15 years of experience. Prior to his consulting career, he worked as a risk manager in portfolio management and as a graduate student conducted research on risk management in manufacturing covering optimal capacity management for industrial firms. He was also the leader for Enterprise Risk and Resilience for MRC in Turkey/Eastern Europe. He holds a Master of Engineering in Financial Engineering from University of Michigan and Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from University of Michigan, Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Bogazici University.

 
Pavel Chernoverkhskiy
Senior Underwriter Energy and Engineered Risk - AIG (UAE)

Pavel is the Senior EER (Energy & Engineered Risk) Underwriter for Middle East, North Africa and Russia. The EER unit deals with Downstream Oil and Petrochemical, Chemical, Construction and Power Generation occupancies. Pavel joined AIG in Moscow, Russia in 2009 and since then has been performing various roles in Property and Energy lines. Prior to relocation to Dubai in 2015 he was Energy and Engineered Risks Manager for AIG Russia in charge of developing profitable portfolio of Energy and Construction business. Pavel holds Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation in Moscow, Russia. He has started his insurance career in 2003 as Reinsurance Manager for one of the local Russian commercial insurers.

 
Simon Dodsworth

Simon, with over 20 years in experience, leads Marsh’s infrastructure development in the MENA region for both operational and transactional risks. In addition, Simon is responsible for Marsh’s Financial & Professional Risks (FINPRO) and Private Equity & Mergers & Acquisitions (PEMA) businesses in MENA. Over the past 10 years, a focus across the MENA region has meant Simon has been involved with a variety of regional financial institutions and infrastructure assets, including banks, private equity, sovereign wealth funds, airports, ports, rail, real estate, telecommunications, power and utility assets. He combines his insurance industry experience and financial transactional knowledge to advise Marsh clients on the range of strategic risk advice services offered by Marsh to financial institutions, infrastructure asset owners, operators, financiers, developers, contractors, accounting firms, law firms and consultants.

 
Reza Zaidi
Managing Director, Legal, Compliance & Public Affairs - Marsh (UAE)

Born and educated in the UK, Reza is a legally qualified Compliance professional with over 21 years global banking/ financial services experience, ranging across Corporate, Investment and Private Banking as well as Insurance, Asset Management, Private Equity and Brokerage. Reza has worked predominately in the UK and the Middle East setting up and leading Compliance, AML and Risk functions as well as managing Legal and Audit departments. Previously heading up Compliance for Barclays in Africa and the Middle East and for GE Capital in the UK and Europe, Reza is currently the Head of Legal, Compliance & Public Affairs (MENA & India), based in Dubai, for Marsh, a division of Marsh & McLennan Companies. Reza holds a UK honors degree in Law and Economics as well as professional accreditations in compliance, leadership and project management from the UK, US and South Africa

 
Asad Ur Rehman Khan

Joined business in 1992 and transformed the business into corporate entity. Asad is well known in the Insurance Industry and is well respected. He holds LLB from University of Karachi and also MBA. He is an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) from CII College of Insurance in U.K., Fellow of Institute of Chartered Ship Brokers (FICS) in London, a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport (FCILT) in London and an Associate of Claims (AIC) from the Insurance Institute of America. Asad is also a member of Executive Council of Karachi Insurance Institute.

Mr. Muhammad Haroon Rasheed, with over 20 years of experience, is an Executive Director in State Bank of Pakistan and looking after the portfolio of Financial Resources Management Group. At SBP, he also worked as Executive Director, Human Resources Group and Financial Comptroller. He was also the Managing Director, SBP-Banking Services Corporation. He has served in renowned International and domestic companies including The Institute of Bankers Pakistan, Karachi as Chief Executive Officer, Volvo Pakistan Limited as Chief Financial Officer, Zahid Group of Companies, Saudi Arabia as Management Representative & Manager Internal Audit, Legler-Nafees Denim Mills Ltd as Controller, Accounts and Systems and Hameed Chaudhri & Co as Manager Audit and Management Consultancy. He is a qualified chartered accountant and was honored with two Gold Medals i.e. Irtiza Hussain and J.P. Patel Memorial. Jahangir Piracha

Jahangir Piracha is currently working as CEO of Engro Powergen Qadirpur Limited. Prior to this, he was Vice President - Manufacturing at Engro Polymer & Chemicals Ltd and previously worked as General Manager Human Resource & Corporate Services, also with the same company. Prior to joining Engro, he has worked for ICI Pakistan Ltd. Jahangir has 25 years of corporate experience in functions like Manufacturing, Human Resource and Procurement. He received his bachelors' degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, Pakistan. He is a director on the board of EPQL.

 
 
Muhammad Ashraf Bawany
Chief Executive Officer - Linde Pakistan

Mr. Bawany was appointed CEO and Managing Director of Linde Pakistan Limited in August 2013 after serving the company for more than 30 years. Before his appointment as CEO, he held a number of key positions within the company including Deputy Managing Director, Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary. He is a nominee director of the Karachi Stock Exchange on the Board of National Clearing Company of Pakistan Limited (NCCPL) and is also the Chairman, Audit Committee of the NCCPL. Mr. Bawany is a fellow member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, Institute of Corporate Secretaries of Pakistan and a law graduate. He is the former President of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Pakistan, Pakistan Institute of Public Finance Accountants and Memon Professional Forum besides serving on a number of committees of the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industries.

Muhammad Saqib Kidwai

He is by profession a Mechanical Engineer with BE (Mechanical Engineering) from NED, Karachi 1983 and MS (Mechanical Engineering) from Wayne State University, Michigan, USA 1987. Having worked in the engineering sector joined the insurance industry in 1990 with leading insurance companies such as EFU General, Adamjee Insurance and New Jubilee General in the area of Engineering and Construction Insurance in core functions of Underwriting, Claims, Reinsurance and Risk Management. Presently working with International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) since July 2012 in the Insurance Division as Senior Insurance Officer. He is based in IFC Operating Center in Istanbul, Turkey and dealing the IFC’s projects in the area of Insurance Risk Management for Middle East, North Africa and Europe & Central Asia.

Mr. Haider is the CEO of Mahl Power Company Pvt. Ltd., a project of China Three Gorges Corporation, which is developing the 640 MW Mahl hydropower project on River Jhelum, AJK. Mr. Haider has over 30 years of diversified work experience, and has to his credit leading Pakistan and AJK’s first hydro IPP i.e. New Bong Hydropower during financial close, construction and operations phases as CEO of Laraib Energy Limited. He also played key role in financial close of Pakistan first thermal IPP i.e. Hubco in 1995. Prior to that he worked with a DFI and international banks in various capacities.

Waqqas Mir

Wasi Ullah Khan

Wasi Ullah Khan is the head of the ICT department for the PTA and also looking after the International Liaison section and the Chairman’s secretariat. He has been working in the ICT area for over 15 years. His experience includes working in USA as Senior I.T analyst working on security and infrastructure of I.T systems for a large utility service provider. His experience in PTA includes working on different ICT policies related to Internet Governance, Child online safety, setting up of first Internet Exchange Point (IXP) of Pakistan, Pakistan school of Internet Governance, e-commerce and cyber security. He has been nominated as the focal person from PTA on cyber security for the SAARC inter-governmental expert group on Telecom and ICT.

 
Zafar Iqbal Sobani
